DSU offers a welcoming community to students from around the world. In addition to the basic admission requirements, you’ll submit the following items with your application. Be sure to apply at least 90 days before classes start so that you have ample time to meet these requirements.

| Financial Documentation | International applicants must submit proof of funds to cover at least their first year of study. If living with a friend or relative in the U.S., students must submit additional documentation, such as an affidavit of free room and board with supporting documents. For financial documentation, international students must forward the required financial evidence to the Office of International Affairs |
| Transcript Evaluation | Transcripts must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation agency (such as WES or ECE) and sent to DSU |

Faculty Spotlight: Rachell R. Davis-Sitron DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Rachell R. Davis-Sitron DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in both family medicine and psychiatry. She currently serves as the Graduate Clinical Coordinator and Course Instructor for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Delaware State University, where she is deeply committed to fostering student growth and academic success. Known for her compassionate and supportive approach, Dr. Davis-Sitron is passionate about mentoring future healthcare professionals and creating an engaging learning environment.
Dr. Davis-Sitron earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University, and she holds a second master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys art, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
